Duration: 6 weeks intense course, 1 hour per session.

Dates: During Spring Term (February 22nd to April 1st 2021)

Time & Tutor: Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm with our tutor Rhiannon

Age: A course aimed at GCSE students to boost their exam skills

 

This course will support students in the key skills needed to succeed in History exams. We will explore what kinds of questions students need to be asking when looking at the past in order to develop reflective and critical thinking which are key to exam success. 

We will look at how to analyse sources, how to answer questions in a way which demonstrates your knowledge and understand how to support your answers with clear, concise analysis and evaluation.

Coverage includes; 

  • Answering source questions
  • Supporting your answers with relevant knowledge.
  • Understanding what is expected of students taking a History GCSE.

Included in all our courses is a tailor-made booklet which will be send over to you in a PDF format for you to print in advance. If you prefer us to post it, we require an extra payment of £4.00 which covers the printing costs and the postage.

All our online courses take place on Microsoft Teams. The student does not require to download the application, as you can use the browser version which will be send over to you by email before the first session. 

Our courses take place in groups of 6 students maximum.
